What does it mean that "it is for freedom that Christ has set you free?" Gal. 5:1. Tell me whatever you know about it.

Kenny, I honestly cannot explain this verse, but I think the Word of God, going on from the part you quoted, tells us as much as we can make use of. Also, of course, translations differ. I use the (original) Jerusalem Bible, which reads:

"When Christ freed us, He meant us to remain free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1-2)
